I want to read when I grow older. So many adults don’t read anymore.
We’ll read together, right? So we never stop?
We can switch off paragraphs.
We can cuddle.
And then, when it gets really late, maybe I’ll fall asleep in your lap. And we’ll wake up in the morning, and start reading again. (:

I would really like to serve you. It’s not the usual way people think of love. But oh, I will love you so much. What better way to show you? I want to serve you, and obey you. You know much more than me, I bet. I bet you’re much more wise. Teach me, and I will follow. And when I don’t…(it will happen)…will you bring me back? With love? Will you be patient and kind and show me that you’ll always love me? And then I will serve you again. I will try to listen.

Lead me in Bible study. Teach me the things I never learned.
And can I sit back and watch you teach our children, too? Will you do that? They will love you.

there will be times I will just want to run around and laugh and smile and throw my head back and watch you chase me and tickle me with a sparkle in your eye.
but there will be serious times. i am ready for them. i will face them with you by my side.
